Custom Foot Orthotics can help anyone with discomfort relating to walking, or imbalances in the body that are known to cause related pain. A tremendous benefit of Custom Foot Orthotics is that they can be worn on a daily basis and utilized during most activities.
The Custom Foot Orthotics we use are cast right in our office, using a specially designed mold. Dr Tom has spent the last thirty years working with several local podiatrists, and has become highly skilled at measuring, casting, and fitting the custom designed mold to the patient's unique specifications. It is then sent to a licensed podiatrist who will produce the orthotic in a variety of materials. For almost twenty years, we have had a relationship with Buffalo Orthotics. They produce a high quality product and have an excellent record of customer/patient service. Depending on the material chosen, orthotics can last up to 20 years. While over-the-counter shoe inserts are available at most drugstores, they lack the custom-built precision of a prescription orthotic. These ‘one-size-fits-all’ inserts rarely match your feet well, or provide the customized support you need.
